Cristiano Ronaldo identifies the team he enjoyed playing for the most.

In a recent interview with Spanish media, CR7 reminisced on his amazing career.

Ronaldo has a special place in his heart for one former employer.

Forward experienced fruitful periods with Manchester United, Real Madrid, and Juventus. 

Cristiano Ronaldo has acknowledged that his playing days with Real Madrid were the happiest period of his career.

The Portugal international, who will turn 40 on Wednesday, is currently experiencing a prolific period with Saudi Arabian club Al Nassr but boasts successful tenures with Sporting CP, Manchester United, Madrid, and Juventus on his remarkable resume. 

When reflecting on his time with Madrid in an appearance on Los Amigos de Edu, Ronaldo admitted that the Spanish club gave him his most cherished memories in football. 

"Spain is where I belong; it's where my children were raised," he started. "That’s where I found my greatest joy in football; Madrid will forever hold a place in my heart." 

"I accomplished some truly great things, and people remember." The little ones follow me on YouTube, I keep scoring, my celebrations... people join in. I arrive home and Mateo is on YouTube, watching gamers. He enjoys [Jude] Bellingham, appreciates [Eduardo] Camavinga, [Kylian] Mbappe...he jokes with me, claiming he's superior to me.” 

Ronaldo later confessed that when the summer of 2018 came, he sensed his enchanting period in Madrid had reached its inevitable end. 

"I desired a new stage; my time on that stage had ended," he pondered. "I sought an alternative inspiration." 

"It didn’t exhaust me; I informed the president, and he agreed that I could go." We were in a negotiation stage, and he didn’t treat me very well; I get it because that’s how he always acts, and I couldn’t reverse my stance since I promised Juve, and the president wanted to retract it. However, I have great respect for Florentino [Perez], as he is a sincere individual who treated me kindly, and we achieved numerous successes together. 

Ronaldo went on to say, "One day maybe," in reference to a possible future return to Madrid. I don't think it's possible. I made a good impression there and left a legacy. When my career is over, I might be able to do something interesting with 80,000 people. 

"Those duels with Barcelona are valued by people today; we went through a really tense time. The TV and the fans discussing the game. [Gerard] Pique, [Sergio] Ramos, Cristiano-Messi, Madrid-Barcelona... There was a genuine rivalry, which was pleasant.
