Postecoglou nearing departure after poor Spurs hand Chelsea a ‘catalyst’ with £5m Sancho decision enticing

Ange Postecoglou appears to be in a dire situation, as the Europa League rescue seems improbable following Spurs’ absence against Chelsea, who ought to cover the costs for sending Jadon Sancho back to Manchester United...  Chelsea's lackluster display against Arsenal raised doubts about their desire to win, as Enzo Maresca's team seemingly let their London competitors secure a comfortable victory.  This poor performance resulted in Chelsea having the same points total as Manchester United since their pursuit of the Premier League title began to fade in mid-December.  During this period, Spurs have fared even worse since only Championship-bound Southampton, Leicester City, and Ipswich Town have garnered fewer points in 2025 than Postecoglou’s team in the Premier League.  Tottenham’s injury issues are a relevant factor, but even their makeshift squad has significantly underachieved and failed to show up in far too many matches this season.  Their injury concerns h...

NKUNKU TRANSFER SAGA: Bayern Munich React to Chelsea's Shocking Asking Price!

Christoph Freund, the sports director of Bayern Munich, has downplayed rumors that Chelsea forward Christopher Nkunku is being pursued.

Nkunku has been predicted to depart Stamford Bridge this month after being forced to take a reserve role under Chelsea manager Enzo Maresca. According to German publications, the 27-year-old is Bayern's top choice for the January transfer window.

Chelsea has reiterated their interest in signing Mathys Tel, a forward for Bayern, as part of the two clubs' negotiations, even though the Bundesliga team has already stated that they want to hold onto the young Frenchman.

Nkunku has been valued at €70 million (£59.1 million) by Chelsea, according to Fabrizio Romano, but The Telegraph estimates that amount to be closer to £65 million. That amount would allow Chelsea to recoup the £52 million they originally spent to acquire Nkunku from RB Leipzig in 2023.

After downplaying the possibility of a move for Nkunku toward the end of 2024, Freund has now once more disassociated Bayern from a move for the Chelsea forward.

" According to rumors, Nkunku, who is eager to return to the Bundesliga this month, and Bayern have already agreed on personal terms, despite Freund's public insistence.

Fruend responded to a question about whether Nkunku is being discussed in Munich by telling Sky Sports Germany: "No!

"If it is the case that we continue into the season [with the current squad], which is our plan, then it is not a topic of conversation that we bring in an attacker, because we are very, very well positioned there, both in terms of quality and numbers.
