Amorim claims Garnacho is one of the three from Man Utd who lack ‘quality’; desires two ‘major signings’ in summer

Ruben Amorim identified Alejandro Garnacho as one of three Manchester United players who lack “quality” before a summer where he aims to add “two significant players”.  Amorim took over as United's new head coach in November but has faced challenges in making the intended impact after Erik ten Hag was let go, with the Red Devils currently in 13th place in the Premier League ahead of their match against Manchester City on Sunday.  It is commonly acknowledged that the Portuguese manager requires new players this summer since the existing group is finding it difficult to adjust to his philosophy and system.  Amorim affirmed before the Manchester derby that he aims to recruit a few "big players."  Amorim stated, “We must excel in recruitment.” "We must understand our system, our style of play, and the players must fit perfectly in that role." We understand the actions to take, we will find out next season.  “I simply aim to concentrate on our strengths and add one o...

Real Madrid join Arsenal, Man City and Liverpool in race for star midfielder

A thrilling transfer saga is unfolding as European giants Real Madrid join the fray in pursuit of a highly-coveted star midfielder. The Spanish titans are set to lock horns with Premier League powerhouses Arsenal, Manchester City, and Liverpool, all of whom are eager to secure the services of this exceptional talent. With the midfielder's impressive skills and versatility sparking a fierce battle for his signature, the question on everyone's mind is: which club will ultimately emerge victorious in this high-stakes transfer chase?"

Although there will be a lot of Premier League teams vying for Real Madrid's services, the Spanish champions have reportedly forced their way into the competition to sign Real Sociedad midfielder Martin Zubimendi.

One of the most sought-after midfielders in European football right now is Zubimendi. The Spain international, a native of San Sebastian, has made an impression both at home and on the continent in recent years. He didn't make his top-flight debut until he turned 20.

Last summer, Zubimendi, a tiny, upright holding midfielder who scored four league goals last season, went close to joining Liverpool but ended up staying with La Real. Although he is believed to be open to a transfer outside of his comfort zone in 2025, the 25-year-old clarified that he felt he would grow as a player in La Liga.

Arsenal and Manchester City are also interested in the center schemer, but Liverpool hasn't given up on signing Zubimendi yet. However, the Spanish tabloid AS claims that Real Madrid's formidable force has now stumbling into the ring of suitors.

Zubimendi is seen by Madrid as Toni Kroos' long-term replacement. There hasn't been a suitable replacement for the German master, who retired last summer. In an attempt to duplicate Kroos' distinctive performance, Carlo Ancelotti has alternated between Aurelien Tchouameni, Federico Valverde, and the seasoned Luka Modric, with varying degrees of success.

An unimpressive start to the 2024/25 campaign - which nonetheless saw Madrid win two trophies - has inspired the club to step up their pursuit of Zubimendi. Real Sociedad's sporting director Roberto Olabe was all too quick to point out that any deal for the midfield player would have to wait until the summer. But Madrid and their Premier League rivals are aware of the price that San Sebastian will demand to get Zubimendi.

The winner of Euro 2024 has a release clause of only €60 million (£50 million), in a market where top central midfield players sometimes fetch nine-figure prices.

Liverpool is notified by Trent Alexander-Arnold of the Real Madrid transfer decision.

Anfield is abuzz with speculation as Liverpool receives a bombshell update on the future of their prized asset, Trent Alexander-Arnold. The England international right-back has reportedly informed the Reds of his decision regarding a potential transfer to Spanish giants Real Madrid. As the Merseyside club's hierarchy holds its collective breath, the question on everyone's lips is: will Alexander-Arnold remain a cornerstone of Jürgen Klopp's Liverpool or will he opt for a blockbuster move to the Bernabéu?"

According to reports, Trent Alexander-Arnold has told Liverpool that he wants to join Real Madrid at the end of the current campaign.

The right-back's contract is about to expire in six months, and Madrid has long expressed interest in making a big free move at the end of the current campaign. Earlier this month, it was reported that Alexander-Arnold had been "seduced" by the prospect of moving to the Santiago Bernabeu at the end of the current campaign, even though he had been offered a new deal with Liverpool.

The state of MARCA Alexander-Arnold has previously communicated his desire to join Real Madrid to Liverpool, telling his present employers of his choice during their most recent effort to persuade him to extend.

It seems like a new right-back will be on Liverpool's shopping list in the upcoming months as they wanted to go into 2025 knowing for sure whether they would need to replace Alexander-Arnold.

Now, all eyes will be on Liverpool as they determine whether to consider January bids for Alexander-Arnold or accept the fact that they will lose a tremendously important asset at the conclusion of the season.

With the assurance that his deal can be finalized in the summer, Madrid will not initiate a winter move and will instead watch to see if Alexander-Arnold is placed up for sale.

Probably tells you enough" is how Liverpool manager Arne Slot sarcastically described Trent Alexander-Arnold's goal celebration against West Ham.

The forward-thinking right-back has been enmeshed in transfer rumors all season long. Over the weekend, several Spanish publications stated that the soon-to-be free agent has finalized a move to Real Madrid for the upcoming summer.

During Sunday night's 5-0 thumping of West Ham, Alexander-Arnold scored Liverpool's fourth goal, putting up what may have been his greatest performance of the season at a time when his future seemed most unclear. The 26-year-old's contract expires on June 30 and he will be allowed to engage with international clubs about a free transfer starting on January 1.

In the same contractual limbo as Alexander-Arnold are Mohamed Salah, a prolific attacker, and fellow defender Virgil van Dijk.

Nevertheless, Arne Slot was completely unconcerned by the growing transfer rumors. The Liverpool manager stated, "I don't think it's negative at all," in reference to his full-back.

"He's playing really well, he scored a great goal and the way he celebrated probably tells you enough." As Alexander-Arnold's long-range attempt fizzed past the defenseless Alphonse Areola, he lifted his right hand to his ear and made a talking motion with his fingers.

Slot went on, "I don't think I have to say too much about it," "Just as with Mo and Virgil, I'm quite content with Trent. I don't see any difference. I'm quite pleased with the three, albeit perhaps there is more going on in the media [with Alexander-Arnold] than the other two.

The current wave of rumors became stronger every day after Liverpool's crushing of West Ham represented both the team's final game of 2024 and its last appearance before the January transfer window opens. Slot maintained his fervent indifference and stated that nothing would change, at least not among his team.

"It surely does on the outside, not on the inside," the Dutch coach admitted, "because people talk about it more, not just about these three but about other players.

"So it will also be about the ones we bring in or ones who could also leave."
